On Christmas morning, 8-year-old Kara Sekula woke up like all the other youngsters awaiting the presents under the tree.
But this year was different. The buck had eluded her the day before and it was still on her mind.
“She woke up at 6 a.m., took a look at the presents under the tree and then put on her coveralls,” said her father Jason, who is the wildlife manager at the Shiner Ranch in Frio County. “This buck got away from her yesterday.
