Anyone interested in Lake Fork is invited to attend a public meeting on the state of the lake on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

The Lake Fork Sportsman’s Association and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will host the meeting, which will feature presentations by TPWD Inland Fisheries biologists, TPWD law enforcement personnel, and Sabine River Authority representatives.

Topics will include, but are not limited to, the status of the giant salvinia infestation, law enforcement issues, and an update on the gamefish populations in the reservoir. A large portion of the meeting will be reserved for attendees to ask questions in a “town hall” format.

All local business owners, lake homeowners, fishing guides, recreational anglers, and anyone else with an interest in the resources at Lake Fork are invited to attend.

This meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Emory City Center, 735 N. Texas Street, Emory TX 75440.

For questions or additional information, please contact TPWD Inland Fisheries management personnel in Tyler at (903) 593-5077. – See more at: http://www.thefishingwire.com/story/366467#sthash.DJ5KMsfL.dpuf
