Hero of the day — Sept. 13, 2012

Today’s hero is Brenham hunter Taylor Pohl, 14. Taylor was hunting with her mom on the evening of June 9 near Comfort when she harvested her first axis doe. The big doe was taken with a .243 rifle and will provide the family with tasty venison throughout the summer.
