Texas bass anglers need to mark their calendars for May 18-20.
That’s the date of the 8th Annual Legend of Lake Fork Big Bass Tournament hosted by Lake Fork Marina.
This year, the tournament is giving away four Legend Boats and a guaranteed payback of $250,000 in cash and prizes. Two will be awarded to the two heaviest bass over the slot, one to the heaviest bass under the slot, and one for the draw.
The tournament is a three-day, hourly payback, individual big bass tournament. More than one contestant can fish per boat but each individual in the boat has to be a paid entry. First place each hour with heavy bass will receive $500, second place $400, third place $300, fourth place $200, fifth place $175, sixth place $150 and the first one knocked out of sixth place will receive a $100 gift card or certificate from our sponsors. Anglers do not have to have a Legend boat to compete.
Anyone wishing to fish the tournament can pick up an entry form at most local businesses around the lake or go to www.legendoflakefork.com and download an entry form and rules.
