Below is an updated Texas saltwater fishing report which includes: water temps, species and suggested bait.

REDFISH BAY: 60 degrees. Redfish are fair on and dead shrimp in 1-3 feet of water.

SAN ANTONIO BAY: 60 degrees. Redfish and speckled trout are fair on soft plastics and with live shrimp under a popping cork. Target the mouths of sloughs.

SABINE LAKE: 62 degrees. Trout are good in the lake during incoming tides on points and drops. Five-inch artificials with â…›-ounce jigheads are working. Red shad or morning glory with a chartreuse tail are the best colors for artificials. Redfish are good on points and shell banks in the bayou using Carolina-rigged live shrimp for drum and sheepshead. 

BOLIVAR: 60 degrees. Redfish and speckled trout are slow on finger mullet, mud minnows, and soft plastics in the surf, jetties and bayside canals.

TRINITY BAY: 65 degrees. Speckled trout are good on live shrimp under a popping cork and soft plastics. Redfish are good on soft plastics and live shrimp on muddy flats near shell. Black drum and sheepshead are fair on live shrimp under a popping cork near main channel rocks and drop-offs.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: 65 degrees. Redfish are fair on live shrimp, finger mullet, imitation shrimp lures, and soft plastics under popping corks. Speckled trout are good on top-waters, soft plastics in bright pink, and suspending jerkbaits in guts and channels. The Corky bite is also strong.

GALVESTON BAY: 65 degrees. Speckled trout are good on soft plastics and live shrimp. Redfish and black drum are fair on cut bait, mullet, shad, and halved live crabs. Bull reds are being caught on live halved crabs, as well. Sheepshead are good on live shrimp.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: 65 degrees. Speckled trout, redfish, and flounder are fair on soft plastics or live bait for wade anglers and drifting in boats.

TEXAS CITY: 65 degrees. Redfish, speckled trout, and flounder are slow on live shrimp and finger mullet. Black drum and sheepshead are fair on live shrimp. Whiting are good, aloing with some sheepshead and black drum.

FREEPORT: 60 degrees. Redfish and speckled trout are fair on soft plastics and live shrimp under a popping cork anywhere where the ICW is draining. Black drum and sheepshead are fair on live and dead shrimp, and 3/8-ounce jigheads with artificials.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: 68 degrees. Redfish and speckled trout are fair on cut bait, live shrimp and artificials.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: 68 degrees. Redfish and speckled trout are fair on soft plastics, top-waters, and slow-sinking and suspending twitch baits in deeper holes.

PORT O’CONNOR: 67 degrees. Big black drum are good on blue crabs. Sheepshead are good on shrimp near the jetties.

ROCKPORT: 60 degrees. Speckled trout are fair on live shrimp and soft plastics along channel edges. Redfish are fair on shrimp, mullet, and perch in guts and along channel edges. Black drum are very good on live and dead shrimp in guts or holes in the flats.

PORT ARANSAS: 60 degrees. Sheepshead are fair on live shrimp. Redfish are good on live shrimp and cut mullet on the north and south jetty. Oversized redfish are good on cut crab and cut mullet. Speckled trout are fair on live shrimp free-lined near rocks. Pompano are good on live shrimp in the surf.

CORPUS CHRISTI: 60 degrees. Black drum and redfish are fair on cut bait. Pompano are good on Fishbites.

BAFFIN BAY: 60 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are fair on soft plastics, top-waters, and slow-sinking and suspending twitch baits. Find them shallow on calm days and deeper on windy days.

PORT MANSFIELD: 70 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are good on smaller-profile baits as the water warms. Small flashes are getting reaction bites.

SOUTH PADRE: 68 degrees. Black drum are good on cut bait and shrimp. Speckled trout and redfish are good on soft plastics, top-waters, and slow-sinking and suspending twitch baits in waist-deep water.

PORT ISABEL: 68 degrees. Black drum are good on cut bait and shrimp. Redfish and speckled trout are good on soft plastics and swim baits. The top-water bite has also been improving.
