Inspired by the long-standing Game Fair heritage that began in England in 1958, the Texas Hill Country Game Fair brings this rare sporting tradition to the Lone Star State. Presented by the Wildlife & Natural Resources Committee of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and Joshua Creek Ranch, this two day celebration showcases the best of outdoor sport, conservation, and Texas hospitality.
Hosted June 12–13, 2026, at the world-renowned Joshua Creek Ranch in Boerne, Texas, the event will take place at one of the country’s premier sporting resorts. For more than three decades, Joshua Creek Ranch has welcomed sportsmen and women from around the globe with its wing-shooting, luxury amenities, and award-winning outdoor experiences. Its blend of Hill Country scenery and top tier sporting grounds makes it the perfect home for this new annual tradition.
The Texas Hill Country Game Fair is designed for outdoor sporting enthusiasts, conservation advocates, industry exhibitors, and supporters of youth education. Attendees can enjoy archery, wingshooting competition, fly fishing instruction, hunting dog demonstrations, and hands on activities led by expert partners. Exhibitors and sponsors will have the chance to connect with engaged, high-value outdoor consumers while showcasing premium sporting equipment, apparel, handcrafted goods, and conservation-minded products.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, June 12, with the Game Changer event, featuring live music, chef prepared hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a live auction of exclusive hunting adventures, firearms, and specialty items. Main events on Saturday will highlight industry exhibitors, a competitive shooting tournament, product demonstrations, dog demonstrations, music, a Buckaroo Que competition, and a silent auction supporting youth and conservation programs. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
