Doss wins Skeeter Owner’s 25th on Lake Fork

Charles Doss of Fort Worth, won the annual Skeeter Owner’s Bass Tournament held on Lake Fork, Texas with a bass that weighed 11.19 lbs.

Doss took home the grand prize of a brand new Skeeter FX20 equipped with a Yamaha 250 SHO.

Taking home the second big ticket prize, Robbie Johnson from Good Rich, Texas won a brand new Yamaha Wolverine X4 SE Side-by-Side.

With attendance of 2,295 anglers and 1,181 Skeeter fishing boats from around the country.

This annual family event continues to grow in popularity and has truly become an iconic event for both the Yamaha and Skeeter brands.

“We couldn’t be happier with the response to our annual owners’ tournament,” said Jeff Stone, Sr. Vice President/General Manager of Skeeter Boats’ Kilgore, Texas factory and corporate headquarters. “Our staff conducted over 380 demo rides and also managed to cook over 2,000 pounds of brisket, 2200 hot links, and 85 gallons of  beans, truly making this a Skeeter and Yamaha family event.”

“This is our 25th year hosting the Skeeter Owners’ tournament, and every year we’ve increased participation from vendors, boat owners and attendees,” said JoAnne O’Bryant, Sr. Marketing Projects Manager. “This event is our way of thanking all Skeeter boat owners, past, present and future, who helped get us to where we are today and we are already excited for the 26th anniversary in 2019.”
