Lone Star Outdoor News

People in West Texas don’t mind driving a few miles, and they will be coming into Midland from all directions for the 8th Annual Great Outdoors Expo June 23-24 at the New Midland Horseshoe Pavilion.

Of course, there will be vendors from the hunting, fishing and camping worlds, with everything from the newest products and gear to outfitters from across the globe. Blinds, feeders, clothing for men and women, fishing tackle and gear, knives and outdoor cooking equipment will be on display and for sale. Boats and ATVs will be there.

For anglers, there will be fishing demonstrations in the casting tank. For hunters, the first-ever 3D Archery Tournament will take place, and Hunter Education will be taught.

For the kids and new hunters and fishermen, there will be catfishing, a BB gun gallery, archery range and a course called Intro to Shooting Bows put on by the Lone Star Bowhunting Association.

The entertainment doesn’t stop there. Joe Martin will be there with his Snakes of Texas, the World’s Outstanding Whitetails display will be on hand, along with a list of renowned seminar speakers.

It’s a can’t-miss stop for West Texans!
