Have you voted? We did! Early voting is available until Monday, and it only takes a minute!

Proposition 6, the Texas Right to Hunt, Fish and Harvest Amendment is on the ballot.

The measure, upon voter approval, would provide for a right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife, including by the use of “traditional methods.” The measure would also designate hunting and fishing as “preferred methods of managing and controlling wildlife.”

Nearly every conservation and outdoor group you have ever heard of supports the Amendment, including Dallas Safari Club, Houston Safari Club, Safari Club International, Quail Coalition, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Wild Turkey Federation, Texas Dove Hunters Association, Texas Association of Bass Clubs, Texas Bighorn Society, Texas Mule Deer Foundation, Texas Trophy Hunters Association, Texas Deer Association, Texas Wildlife Association, and many others.

Lone Star Outdoor News recommends a “Yes” vote on Proposition 6, a position also advocated by the editors of the Dallas Morning News, the San Antonio News-Express and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
