Wild Game Supper a big success

by Lili Keys

Musical talent Grant Broderick performs during the Lone Star Outdoor News Foundation’s Wild Game Supper annual fundraiser at the Beretta Gallery in Dallas, Oct. 4, 2017.

The Lone Star Outdoor News Wild Game Supper took place Oct. 4 at the Beretta Gallery in Dallas, and more than 300 of our friends came to help support the mission of the Lone Star Outdoor News Foundation.

With live music from Ole G, food from Cinnamon Creek Wild Game Processing, free beer from Adlebert’s Brewery, wine, they people kept busy, and with a number of hunts, fishing trips and a Beretta Xtreme 12 gauge up for grabs, Laura and Brie from the Texas Premier Agency kept busy selling tickets and describing the available items.

Thanks to all that came out, more than $15,000 was raised to help support the mission of “creating hunters for a lifetime” by providing hunting and fishing opportunities to people who have the desire but have lacked the opportunity.

People at the event who want to deer hunt but have never had the chance were encouraged to turn in forms why they wanted to do a hunt, and one will be selected for a future hunt with the foundation.

Thanks to our sponsors and those who donated and helped make the event a success:
