A different kind of reunion

Story by Karrie Meadows, DSC

After numerous changes and updates over the course of 2020, Dallas Safari Club is proud to present the virtual online event for the 2021 Reflections Convention. We look forward to this digital reunion of the hunting and conservation community until we can all meet in Dallas again.

As you read through the program, take note of the different ways to get involved with the virtual event and connect with friends and hunters far and wide. Be sure to browse the fantastic auction items and mark your calendars to join us live every night at 7:30 p.m. (Central) on Feb. 10-13 for the virtual auctions. Between items, viewers will hear from leaders in the conservation world, receive updates on what is new with DSC, and learn more about how to get involved. With adventures, hunts, art, and jewelry from around the globe, there is something for everyone. Bidding is now open, so head to dsc.onlinehuntingauctions.com to register today!

The online exhibitor floor plan is also available for you to search and learn about our diverse group of more than 800 exhibitors. Whether you are looking for an up- land bird hunt or a new scope, you are sure to find what you are looking for with this impressive list!

If you have never explored these digital options before, please find the how-to guide in this program on page 27 or watch the video on the DSC website at biggame.org to learn how! With just a few simple steps, you can participate in the 2021 Convention from the comfort of your home.

Another important group to honor is our impressive award winners for 2021: Stephen H. Miller (The Dr. Bob Speegle Outstanding Hunting Achievement Award); Rob Keck (Peter Hathaway Capstick Hunting Heritage Award); Clay Brewer (inaugural Conservation Trailblazer Award); Cory Carlson (Artist of the Year); Charlton McCallum Safaris (Outfitter of the Year); and Parker Stepan and Shae Greidanus (Colin Caruthers Young Hunter Award).

Not sure where to start? Head to our 2021 Convention Landing Page at biggame.org/convention, where you can find all this information in one place!

As always, DSC, along with Sports Afield, appreciates all our 2021 Corporate Sponsors for their generosity and support of our mission. The endorsement of these out- standing companies allows DSC to further our mission of conservation, education and advocacy now and into the future.

When the City of Dallas announced their decision not to allow an in-person convention for 2021, we, like many of you, were all deeply disappointed. Despite our best efforts to make the in-person event possible and even pushing the date a month later, the DSC staff and board pivoted quickly to fully pursue the digital event. After a year unlike any other, we look forward to seeing you all in the digital world February 10-14!
