This fall, Ducks Unlimited (DU) is hosting a series of high impact fundraising dinners across Texas, and you are invited to be part of the action. These events are more than great meals and good company—they are a chance to make a meaningful difference in the future of waterfowl, wetlands, and wildlife conservation.

Upcoming Texas Events:

These community driven events offer an evening of fun, food, and fundraising—all in support of DU’s mission to conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl. Attendees can expect live and silent auctions, raffles, exclusive DU merchandise, trips of a lifetime, and opportunities to connect with local conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts.

Conservation in Action: What DU Has Done for Texas?

Ducks Unlimited has a proud legacy in Texas, with over 290,000 acres of wetlands conserved or protected across the state. DU works with farmers, ranchers, and public agencies from the Gulf Coast to the High Plains to preserve the wetlands essential to waterfowl—and the people who live near them.

Wetlands don’t just benefit ducks. They purify water, reduce flood risk, support biodiversity, and recharge groundwater supplies. DU’s work helps ensure healthier ecosystems, stronger agriculture, and a better quality of life for all Texans.

For example, in the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge, DU collaborated with our partners to restore 4,000 acres of seasonal freshwater wetlands, estuarine marsh, and upland prairie, without impacting upstream drainage. DU helped construct nine miles of breakwater along the McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge to address shoreline erosion and enhanced over 2,000 acres of coastal marsh, including part of the Salt Bayou Watershed and the Texas Chenier Plain. Richland Creek Wildlife Management Area, near the Trinity River Basin, saw improvements to support waterfowl, protect wildlife habitat, and enhance water quality and quantity.

Why It Matters—And How You Can Help

Whether you’re a lifelong duck hunter or simply someone who cares about clean water and open space, DU’s mission touches everyone. By attending one of these fall dinners, you’re supporting a legacy of conservation that goes far beyond the duck blind.

Funds raised at local DU events support projects that directly impact your community and natural heritage.
