DSC hosts hunter education course

The Dallas Safari Club is hosting a hunter education course this Saturday, taught by DSC Life Member and Texas Game Warden Kyle Allison, for all individuals without their certification.

The course will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. July 15 at the Dallas Safari Club, 13709 Gamma Road. The cost is $15 with lunch provided. It is designed for novice or young hunters, ages 9 years and above. Students younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The course covers the core competencies of firearm and hunting safety, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation. All materials are provided. The Hunter Education Classroom Course lasts a maximum of 6 hours of classroom instruction.

This time does not include registration, breaks, test administration and certification card distribution. Courses are offered across the state year round and are taught by certified volunteer instructors. The certification fee is $15.
