Hageman Reserve a hunter, angler paradise

Lone Star Outdoor News’ David J. Sams, along with Dallas Safari Club Executive Director Ben Carter, recently had the opportunity to take a quick glimpse inside the Hageman Reserve near Sulphur Bluff in Northeast Texas.

Clay shooting was the name of the game on the reserve’s brand new course. The lodge will open in November, hosting a plethora of sportsman’s activities. Several levels of membership are available for hunters and anglers interested in joining the Hageman.

The duck hunting boasts 11 custom pits, nine reserve blinds and two floating blinds. Across the area are numerous ponds and reservoirs for guided and un-guided bass and crappie fishing.

The sporting complex offers a 50-yard pistol range, 200-yard rifle range, 1-mile sporting clay course with 12 stations, crazy quail bunker and duck roost game.

The new lodge offers the finest in casual sportsman recreation, including a pub, fine dining room, chef’s table and wine cellar.
