The Houston Safari Club’s Annual Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention was a great success, concluding on January 25, in The Woodlands, at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott with a record number of attendees.

HSC’s annual convention showcases wildlife, wild places and the sporting lifestyle for thousands of visitors and exhibitors from around the globe. The three-day long exposition featured hundreds of hunting, gear and luxury exhibits from South Texas to South Africa and everywhere in between. This year’s event is on track to break HSC’s all-time records for attendance and fundraising.

HSC President Kevin Comiskey said, “The overwhelming amount of positive feedback we have received from sponsors, exhibitors and guests has proven to be a great barometer of HSC’s 2015 convention success.”

Evening banquets and auctions served as wonderful occasions for celebrating all things HSC. Several key decision makers in the outdoor world attended this year’s events including U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady, Director of Economic Policy for the Joint Economic Committee Doug Centilli, U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance President and CEO Nick Pinizzotto, NRA Foundation Executive Director Wayne Sheets, NRA Treasurer and CFO Woody Phillips, Co-Chair of the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum and Diana Award winner Suzie Brewster, Conservation Force Chairman John Jackson, Texas Park and Wildlife Department’s Deputy Executive Director of Natural Resources Ross Melinchuk, Dallas Safari Club President Chris Hudson, SCI President Craig Kaufmann and SCI President-elect Larry Higgins.

“I am so pleased with the results on how our convention went this year.  Compliments from our attendees and especially our exhibitors continue to come in,” said HSC Convention Chairman Kevin Ormston. “We could not have done it without the time and talents of our volunteers, sponsors and office staff.”

The 2016 Annual Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention will take place January 15-17, at The Woodlands, Texas at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Proceeds from HSC’s annual convention go towards fulfilling HSC’s mission of preserving the sport of hunting through education, conservation and the protection of hunters’ rights.
