Hunters and outfitters partner to protect hunting

by Lili Keys

As hunters, our passion for hunting drives our desire to preserve and protect our hunting heritage for future generations. We are maintaining the bond between hunters and nature, and between family and friends. In many ways that bond is threatened through shifting societal values, changing natural landscapes and economic turmoil. Protecting our hunting heritage requires new and innovative solutions. The Wild Conservation Investment Limited Partnership was created to build and strengthen the bond between hunters and the outfitting industry.

BC guide outfitter Darren DeLuca, a 30-year veteran of the outfitting industry, is committed to protecting our hunting heritage using free enterprise, capitalism and ingenuity.

“Hunters spend thousand of dollars every year traveling to Western Canada to hunt,” DeLuca said. “The Wild LP allows them to convert their hunting budget into investments in the outfitting industry.”

The Wild LP redirects your hunting expenditures into equity ownership of premier hunting assets in Western Canada. It allows you to recover your investment by going on hunting adventures, and it underpins the long-term security of hunting by financially supporting the outfitting industry.

The Wild LP believes:

• Hunting and fishing is an intergenerational human right; socially, spiritually and for sustenance

• A person’s right to hunt and fish relies on the conservation and abundance of fish and wildlife

• The ability to exercise the right to hunt and fish requires access to hunting and fishing opportunities

I had a fabulous black bear hunt on Vancouver Island with Darren, Eldon and crew. I look forward to going back again soon. I highly recommend them to all hunters.
