Priefert’s first buck

By Mike Ford

Randa Priefert from Mt Pleasant, Texas took a nice 160 class ten pointer yesterday evening. This was her first buck. What a way to start a hunting career! She was hunting on the Rio Rojo Rancho in Bagwell, Texas. They tracked till dark, but had to return the next morning. Barni the catch dog helped track the buck down a creek 1000 more yards. Congrats on your first buck Randa!

Back in July, Barni came down with coonhound paralysis after killing a raccoon. Coonhound paralysis is a condition that affects the nerves and spinal cord. Barni recovered and is out in the field this season.
