Women’s deer hunt success

by Lili Keys

The Dallas Chapter of Stewards of the Wild hosted an all women’s deer hunt in San Saba this past weekend. The group was hunting doe in an effort to support the MLDP at the ranch. It was the first hunt for most in the group. The women were eager to participate in the management program and fill their freezers with fresh venison.

LSON’s managing editor Lili Sams guided her friend Kelsey Boes, a past Lone Star Outdoor News Foundation hunter, who took her first big game animal. Read the full story about this hunt in the upcoming Oct. 25 issue of Lone Star Outdoor News.
